The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

I am so excited to join Frontier Valley’s third grade teaching team! I’ve recently completed my student teaching in first and fourth grade at my sons’ school in Highlands Ranch. Prior to that, I was fortunate enough to stay home with my two boys who are now in first and third grade at another wonderful DCSD school. I earned my BA in Psychology at San Francisco State University and am working towards my MA in Education at Western. One of my biggest joys is reading with students and enriching their love of reading. I have a picture book collection that I treasure and am always adding to! I enjoy building our classroom community and encouraging my students to create our positive classroom culture, which empowers and engages them. My guiding goal is to foster students’ love of learning. I look forward to getting to know this warm and welcoming community!
