In an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Douglas County School District will be closed to in-person learning for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. This school closure includes Before and After Care (BASE), preschool, outdoor education, and any DCSD-sponsored field trips and camps, as well as facility rentals. Remote learning will continue during this time.

“Perfect is Boring!”

Hello Frontier Valley! My name is Leah Lehrburger and I am thrilled to be your Music Teacher! I am in my 19th year of teaching Elementary Music. I grew up on a farm in Kansas and found my passion for music at a young age. I love playing guitar, ukulele, electric bass and drums. I also enjoy singing, dancing and creating music. I graduated from the College of Music at University of Colorado – Boulder with a degree in Music Education. I earned my Masters Degree from Grand Canyon University in 2004. Recently, I became a certified Little Kids Rock Teacher and am having a blast getting to explore the world of Modern Band with children. I feel lucky because I love my job! Being a Music Teacher is the BEST! When I am away from school you are likely to find me spending time outdoors. I love to hike with my chocolate labs Miles and Morgan, snowshoe, stand up paddle board and attempt to play golf. My husband Mike and I like trying new restaurants and enjoy traveling anywhere we can put our toes in the sand. Come visit the FVE Music Room and jam in one of our bands!
