“While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.”
– Angela Schwindt

I have taught both 1st and 2nd grade and I have to say, 1st grade is definitely my favorite! It is such an amazing year of growth for little learners and I am so thankful to be a part of their journey. I believe it is important to create a classroom where students feel valued and are excited to come to school each day! I am a Colorado native and am proud that I get to call this beautiful state home. I received my bachelor’s in Psychology with an emphasis in Elementary Education from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I began my teaching career in North Carolina where my husband was stationed in the Marine Corps – but for us, the beach was no substitute for these mountains! I began teaching at Frontier Valley in 2014. I love being a part of the HERD here at FVE! My husband and I recently welcomed sweet baby Emma to our family last November. She is the light of our lives and it’s such a joy to be her mama. In my free time I enjoy reading, running, going for walks, hiking, and trying out fun restaurants!
